You are going to looooove this one … Trust me!
RWN| Now, this is what I call sweet irony. After Charlotte, suddenly Nancy Pelosi and other leftists were outraged over Confederate statues, which is hilarious considering it was the Democrats who founded the KKK; it was the Democrats who supported slavery during the Civil War and it was the Democrats that stood against Civil Rights in the ’60’s. But as ironic as that is, it’s nothing compared to the fact that Pelosi’s own father, Thomas D’Alesandro, Jr., dedicated a statue to Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee when he was the mayor of Baltimore.
Pelosi’s father was basically a gangster and corrupt. Traits he lovingly passed down to his daughter. How embarrassing for Pelosi. How richly entertaining for the rest of us. I guess we’ll have to see if she condemns the actions of her own father. I think we’ll be waiting a very long time. What do you want to bet none of the mainstream media will pick up this tidbit? Pelosi is already massively unpopular with the Dems. This is sure to add fuel to that fire.
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi woke up from her 30-year slumber last week and suddenly decided to be outraged by the Confederate statues standing in the halls of Congress. She finds them “reprehensible” and is demanding House Speaker Paul Ryan have them removed.
Her family tree history makes her outrage a bit awkward. Red Alert Politics dug up a bit of history to find that Pelosi’s own father, Thomas D’Alesandro, Jr., dedicated a statue to Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee when he was the mayor of Baltimore.
“Today, with our nation beset by subversive groups and propaganda which seeks to destroy our national unity, we can look for inspiration to the lives of Lee and Jackson to remind us to be resolute and determined in preserving our sacred institutions,” D’Alesandro, Jr. said at the dedication ceremony.
White House Senior Counsel Kellyanne Conway found it all very amusing.
Talk about awkward. Several monuments in Baltimore were taken down last week in the middle of the night under the watchful, judgmental guidance of Mayor Catherine Pugh. Then Pelosi saw an opportunity to make political capital and demanded that statues in Congress be taken down as well. She is also leading the charge to have President Trump censured for his response to the white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, closely followed by Maxine Waters. I sincerely doubt Congress will cave to her demands.
