Here’s Why Trump’s Transgender Military Ban Is 100% RIGHT

President Trump has once again garnered a whole lot of criticism from perpetually irate Americans after his announcement on Twitter today. The Commander in Chief of our armed forces made the decision that individuals who’ve chosen the transgender lifestyle will not be allowed in the military. Here’s the series of inflammatory tweets that set the nation talking.

After consultation with my Generals and military experts, please be advised that the United States Government will not accept or allow……

Wednesday’s announcement that Trump would bar transgender people from the armed forces was the latest contradiction of that pledge. It couldn’t have been clearer — after casting himself as a pro-gay rights candidate, Trump’s administration had already rescinded protections for trans students in public schools. After declaring himself a noncombatant in one of the culture wars, President Trump, with strong support from religious conservatives, has joined the battle with aplomb. So far, that hasn’t lost Trump any support from gay conservatives who argued that he was the gay rights candidate.

Milo Yiannopoulos, the former Breitbart editor who co-hosted a “Gays for Trump” party at the RNC, said he was “delighted” that the president had made a smart and compassionate decision. “You don’t help mentally ill trans people by sticking them on the front lines,” Yiannopoulos said. “You help them with therapy and drugs — though not, I have to stress, transition surgery. I only wish he’d gone further and banned women from combat units too, since the evidence clearly shows their presence is disastrous for both morale and performance. Baby steps?” While Milo Yiannopoulos has far from a conflict free past, the conservative LGBTQ community seems to be letting him speak for them. Thankfully, he has come out and called transgender people mentally ill in a time when that is very unpopular. The liberal status quo says that we should just agree with them no matter what kind of bizarre story they come out with about how they were born in the wrong body or identify on the inside differently than they are on the outside. The fact of the matter is that being transgender has always been, and will continue to be, a choice. Individuals have the ability to choose if they want to “identify” that way, but as with any decision, there are continuances that go along with that choice. In this case, the military decided that if you’re choosing to change who you are, they don’t have time for all that.

The other issue that had to have played a part is just the confusion that comes along with a transgender individual. Even if the mental health weren’t an issue, the government would have been caught up splitting hairs about when a person was considered a male and when they were considered a female for the purpose of living conditions etc. Since transgender people go through outward changes in most cases, there would have been endless debate about when the moment of change was and how to catalog the person. As with many issues lately, the President did what would have been considered a “no-brainer” just a decade or so ago, but the progressives are jumping down his throat about it. They call things like transgender rights progress, but progress to what end?
