Caitlyn Jenner Would Like to Talk to Donald Trump about His “Disaster” Decision on Trans Rights

“You made a promise to protect the LGBTQ community. Call me.”

A framed American flag peeking into the frame behind her and wearing a pussy bow blouse, Caitlyn Jenner took to social media to oppose President Donald Trump’s decision to end guidance that directed schools to allow trans students to use bathrooms and locker rooms according to their gender identities. She deemed the move, in a word, “a disaster.”

“I have a message for the trans kids of America: you’re winning. I know it doesn’t feel like it today or every day, but you’re winning,” Jenner said in a video posted on Thursday night. “Very soon, we will win full freedom nationwide and it will be with bipartisan support.”

Jenner publicly supported Donald Trump over Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election, even vowing to help the GOP reach out to the LGBTQ community. Trump went on to invite Jenner to use any bathroom in Trump Tower she wanted. (She took him up on the offer.)

“I have a message for the bullies: you’re sick,” Jenner continued. “And because you’re weak, you pick on kids or pick on women or anyone else who’s vulnerable. Apparently even becoming attorney general isn’t enough to cure some people of their insecurities,” she said, a jab at Jeff Sessions, who backed the move to revoke the Obama-era guidance. Jenner went on to point out that the Supreme Court will ultimately decide the bathroom issue in a Title IX case initiated by Gavin Grimm, a 17-year-old trans student who was banned from using the boys’ bathroom in Virginia. Jenner addressed Trump directly: “Mr. President, we’ll see you in court.”

“Finally, I have a message for President Trump,” she concluded. “From one Republican to another, this is a disaster and you can still fix it,” she said. “You made a promise to protect the LGBTQ community. Call me.”
